A Bulletin Board (or Online Research Forum) is a digital qualitative research platform where participants respond to the moderator's questions, tasks, and stimuli asynchronously—at their own pace, not in real time—over a period of several days.

Unlike a real-time focus group, the bulletin board allows: deeper reflection before responding, participation from anywhere at the most convenient moment, the moderator analyzing responses and formulating more pertinent follow-ups, and capturing perspectives from profiles that are difficult to bring together simultaneously.
