In-Store Heatmap
Also known as: Store Heatmap, Traffic Map, Store Traffic Analysis
Visualization of traffic and attention within a store, showing which zones concentrate the greatest shopper flow or dwell time.
The In-Store Heatmap is a visualization showing the spatial distribution of shopper traffic within a store: which zones concentrate the greatest flow of people, how long they stay in each area, and what navigation routes are most common.
It is generated from: video camera data with AI motion analysis, infrared traffic sensors, wifi/Bluetooth geolocation data, or a combination of several sources.
In-store heatmaps are fundamental for: optimizing store layout, identifying 'cold' zones with low traffic that need activation, measuring the impact of changes in space organization, and evaluating the appeal of special displays.
Atlantia incorporates in-store traffic analysis in its geomarketing and shopper insights projects.
